JUDITH BURTON qualified as a solicitor in 1984. In 1989 she established her own practice. Judith Burton & Co was an all women law firm which broke new ground in the legal world at that time. Judith co-founded BurtonWoods with Simon Woods in 2000. Judith specialises in residential and commercial property law. She also has expertise in company and business law.
Judith has been an active supporter of Stonewall for many years.

SIMON WOODS qualified as a solicitor in 1985. In 1989 Simon established his own law firm which in 2000 merged with Judith Burton & Co to form BurtonWoods. Simon specialises in property law, both residential and commercial. He also has expertise in business, Probate and partnership law.

Simon has advised and been involved as a trustee with a number of charities. Simon is a member of the Groucho Club.

GILL BUTLER qualified as a solicitor in 1979. She is a consultant at BurtonWoods and advises on all aspects of family law, including complex financial claims for married and unmarried clients, Inheritance Act claims, adoption and assisted reproduction. Gill is a trained collaborative family practitioner and an active member of Resolution (formerly Solicitors Family Law Association)

MARTIN HAYTON is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. He specialises in residential conveyancing including shared ownership and right to buy transactions. Martin has worked with Simon Woods since 1990.
